Regional Youth Parliaments

Regional Youth Parliaments (RYPs) are an opportunity for youth aged 14-18 inclusive to participate in the parliamentary system in their own communities. Held around the province, RYPs are an excellent method of teaching public speaking, and parliamentarianism, but they also facilitate a practical experience in leadership like no other. Members debate resolutions pertaining to local, national, and international issues of their own choosing, and create legislation that outlines their activities for the year. With activities ranging from social gatherings to service projects, members are given the opportunity to meet other youth in their communities and work together in true democratic fashion to aid their own intellectual growth alongside their communities.
